At Canon Peter Hall Church of England Primary School, we believe that Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is an essential part of every child’s personal development. Through RSE, children learn about healthy relationships, respect, kindness, personal safety, emotional wellbeing, and the changes that occur as they grow and develop. RSE equips pupils with the knowledge, understanding and confidence they need to build positive relationships, make safe choices, and flourish in an increasingly complex world. Rooted in our Christian vision and values, we teach RSE in an age-appropriate, inclusive and sensitive way, fostering self-respect, empathy and respect for others. We place great importance on this area of learning because it helps children develop the skills and understanding needed to stay safe, value themselves and others, and become responsible, compassionate members of society.
