Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of Canon Peter Hall C.E Primary School,

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the children, their parents and carers, families, friends and members of the local community. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions any parent/carer has to make. Our school will offer your child a safe, caring and exciting environment in which to grow, develop and be happy. It is our priority to let your child know that we care; that they are valued and we will give them the respect and belief that anything is possible to achieve during their time at our school. However, we will be realistic and let them know at times it takes determination, resilience and hard work.

I value the contribution every child brings to our school and I know this is what makes our school a happy and special place to learn. Our classrooms continue to be a place where children become immersed in their learning; where learning has a purpose; where each child is encouraged to achieve the very highest of standards they can – academically, socially and spiritually. 

As Headteacher I continue to be proud and privileged to be part of your child’s learning journey. As a school, we will celebrate with you when things are going well. I will always be open and honest and welcome you to come into school and talk to us if there are any challenging times. We will work together to help your child have a passion for learning and begin to realise that they can achieve anything in life… that’s when we know we have got it right! 

We were very proud of the recognition from Ofsted in February 2022 that we remain a ‘Good’ school.  The report clearly shows how our vision is embedded and we will continue our journey to make sure the children at Canon Peter Hall have the very best. 

We continue to have local businesses supporting our belief that the world of work and school provide the same opportunities. Children continue to have the opportunity to apply for jobs and Y6 will continue to be part of an apprentice project through building up work related life skills and a CV to present to businesses in the summer term.

We continue to embed our Christian Values in order to prepare your child for their future journey in life and one in which they feel a sense of belonging to a wider family. Finally, as you have chosen our school for your child I will endeavour to make Canon Peter Hall C.E an excellent place to learn, where children know that we all care and they are proud to be part of an amazing community.
