Welcome to a brand-new school year at Canon Peter Hall Primary.

We’re absolutely thrilled to be continuing your child’s learning journey with us in Year 1—it’s going to be a year packed with curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

In Geography, we’ll be heading outdoors to explore our local surroundings and then zooming out to compare life here with the hustle and bustle of London. We’ll become map masters and direction detectives as we learn to navigate the world around us.

In History, we’ll step back in time to uncover what life was like when our grandparents were children, and dive into the dramatic events of the Great Fire of London—sparking imaginations and storytelling along the way.

In Science, we’ll become seasonal sleuths, animal experts, and material investigators—building a strong foundation of knowledge through hands-on exploration.

Every half term, we’ll share a newsletter right here to keep you in the loop with all the exciting things happening in class. Weekly homework will be sent via the ‘Learning with Parents’ app, with helpful tips on how you can support your child’s learning at home.
