Welcome to our Governing Body

Chair of Governors

Wendy Prestwood

I have been involved in education since I qualified as a teacher in the late 1960s and have taught in and led several schools in the local area.  I was Headteacher at Yarborough Primary School for ten years until I retired.  Since then I have supported several schools, including Canon Peter hall, on an interim headship basis, working with the governors and staff to lead the school forward.

It is because of my previous involvement with Canon Peter Hall School that I was keen to join the governing body when the school became an academy, and to work with the newly appointed Headteacher.

I am married with three children and two grandchildren.  I enjoy walking, reading and holidays in our caravan when time permits.  I have current, up to date educational experience which I will bring to Canon Peter Hall School.

After all these years I still retain my enthusiasm and passion for enabling all pupils to achieve their very best and I look forward to seeing the school move from strength to strength.

Reverend Julie Donn

It is a privilege to serve on the governing body at Canon Peter Hall CE School. As vicar at St Andrew’s Church, Immingham I am passionate about the interaction between the church and the local community, particularly with the schools of our town and the young cadet forces.

I have a wealth of experience in community work, having spent 15 years prior to ordination as the Community Fundraising manager for The Blue Cross animal charity. As an ordained priest, I have worked in Skegness and was heavily involved with all of the primary schools in the area, and I am committed to helping all children engage with issues of faith and I love enquiring minds!

I want to see the church and school work closer together, and for the children, staff and families to feel that St Andrew’s Church is always there for them. I have served as your vicar here in Immingham for 7 years and hope to continue to do so for many more. I have enjoyed seeing the children grow and develop over the years. I look forward to working alongside you all as together we grow into the people God wants us to be, because we can all learn from each other.

Rebecca Brown

I have been teaching for over twenty years, gaining experience in all key stages. However, the majority of my career has been in the Early Years. I have led the Foundation Stages in two schools and worked with the Local Authority as a Teacher Moderator.

I started Canon Peter Hall in September 2016, as an Assistant Head Teacher and have since taken on the role of SENCO.

I am married with two children. I enjoy taking taking on creative projects, watching films and I am a keen gardener.

Being a governor will extend opportunities for my professional development by putting my skills to good use in a new context.
