We are excited to welcome the children into Class 4 as they continue their journey through Key Stage 2. We look forward to all the new learning experiences and challenges that we will face and conquer as we continue to learn and grow together. 

We are excited to get our teeth into the Year 4 History and Geography curriculum, traversing rivers and seas, climbing mountains and reliving some of Britain’s most notorious battles and invasions! Our Science will also prove intriguing as we begin to explore for the first time how our ears and brains hear and process sounds, as well as developing our understanding of what happens to the food we eat on its journey from mouth to … well, you know! 

Each week, the children will be assigned learning and reading to complete with their families at home. These can be accessed via the Learning With Parents app. To foster a love of reading, we encourage and expect the children to read at least 3 times a week with their families at home, and to share these experiences with us through the Learning With Parents app. We look forward to hearing their expression and fluency grow through their audio recordings, and can’t wait to see plenty more pictures of the children enjoying their reading at home. 

We are truly delighted to have the opportunity to spend another year as part of this amazing class team.
