There is an excited buzz about our classroom as both the children and myself enter a new year group and embark upon a new plethora of exciting projects and learning experiences. Our upcoming units of study will involve exploring the world as we discover South and North America and the Amazon Rainforest. Closer to home, we will study the local history of the persecuted Pilgrim Fathers as well as engaging in ethical issues such as climate change and what it means to be human through the lens of differing world views.

Each week the children will have home learning and reading to complete. These can be accessed via the Learning with Parents platform. The home learning activities will alternate between a Maths and English each week.  We expect each pupil to read at least 3 times a week as we would like to develop a love of reading in each child. The home learning consists of a video and two or three activities to complete.
